AI Reality Check

Most of the AI conversation is about replacing jobs. In the social sector that's the wrong conversation. There's now a way to help with the work nobody ever had capacity for — the evaluation that never got finished, the follow-up nobody made, the report that gets written from memory.

AI is already in broad use, and that isn't slowing down. Whether or not you want to lean into it, you probably have exposure — which makes the useful question not whether to adopt, but knowing where you actually stand.

This check looks at where AI is already showing up around you, and at where your work actually lives — whether a system carries a task, or a person carries it every single time. That's what tells you where there's something worth optimizing, and where there isn't.

The point isn't to move faster. It's to see where you are, and get to a path you can sustain. Saying no to AI costs you nothing here.
